Profile updates

Updating first name and last name:

Should your first name or last name change, it's essential to keep your profile information accurate. To update these fields, simply navigate to the respective sections in the profile management page and make the necessary modifications. Ensure that your account reflects the most current and correct information to avoid any discrepancies.

Changing your email address:

Updating your email address is an important aspect of managing your Business Fitness Account. By keeping your email address up-to-date, you not only ensure that you receive important notifications and communications but also maintain a seamless authentication process.

It's worth noting that when you change your email address, it will also alter the username you use to authenticate when logging in. Therefore, it's crucial to ensure that the new email address you provide is accurate and accessible to you.

Updating or adding your phone number:

Managing your phone number within your Business Fitness Account is crucial for enhancing security and enabling SMS recovery.

When you update or add a phone number, it serves a dual purpose: enabling SMS recovery if it's added for the first time, and changing the number associated with SMS recovery if you're updating an existing one.

Password updates

Updating your password:

Regularly updating your password is essential for maintaining the security of your Business Fitness Account. To update your password, follow these simple steps:

  1. Enter your old password in the designated field
  2. Enter your new password in the 'New Password' field
  3. Confirm your new password by entering it again in the 'Confirm Password' field
  4. Save the changes.

It's important to ensure that your new password meets the specified security requirements and is unique to your Business Fitness Account.

Two-Factor Authentication updates

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security to your Business Fitness Account beyond just a username and password. By requiring a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your phone or generated by an app, 2FA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access to your account, even if your password is compromised.

Resetting your recovery codes:

Resetting your recovery codes is an essential step in maintaining the security of your Business Fitness Account. If you suspect that your recovery codes have been compromised or if you simply want to generate new ones for added security, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the option to reset recovery codes
  2. Follow the prompts to initiate the reset process
  3. Save the newly generated recovery codes in a secure location
  4. Ensure that you update any previously saved recovery codes with the new ones.

Configuring authenticator app:

Setting up an authenticator app adds an extra layer of security to your Business Fitness Account. To configure an authenticator app, follow these steps:

  1. Look for the option to configure authenticator app
  2. Follow the instructions to scan the QR code displayed on the screen using your authenticator app
  3. Enter the code generated by the app to complete the setup process
  4. Save any backup codes provided for future use.

Configuring an authenticator app helps protect your account from unauthorised access by generating unique codes that are required for logging in. It's a simple yet effective way to enhance the security of your Business Fitness Account.

Resetting authenticator key:

Resetting the authenticator key is necessary if you've lost access to your authenticator app or suspect that your key has been compromised. Follow these steps to reset your authenticator key:

  1. Look for the option to reset authenticator key
  2. Follow the instructions provided to initiate the reset process
  3. Verify your identity through the required authentication method
  4. Once the reset is complete, configure a new authenticator key following the provided instructions.

Resetting the authenticator key helps maintain the security of your Business Fitness Account and ensures that only authorised individuals can access your account.
